This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for March 04, 2009:
The alphabet.....To get any more worked up about it would be prideful and indicate an over-attachment to human heredity. We are children of God - Souls - we've had many, many lives and hence many sets of parents and many names. WHO and HOW we are matters, not WHAT we're called.

I agree. Often many of us including myself get immersed in the role we are playing. If it were not for the word “play” I would get nothing done. That is my excuse for focusing on the world of facts.
I think you are right. Obviously, we chose to live in the world, and we play many roles. The trick seems to be living in, but not of, the world. That is, to be tuned into our spiritual selves more than our physical body. Hence the simple to say, but difficult to do, bit about letting go of worldly attachments. That’s not to say we can’t enjoy the good things the world offers, but just not to become attached or addicted to them so as to maintain our freedom.
