How do your emotions affect your body?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 20, 2008:

Completely. That's the short answer. For more I reccomend reading Candace Pert's book 'Molecules of Emotion' or Bruce Lipton's 'The Biology of Belief'. For movies, watch 'What the Bleep Do We Know?' or 'The Secret'. Put simply - 'thoughts become things' or 'the seen realm comes from the unseen realm'.

I love the new physics and the idea that we are 99% empty space.  I believe that 99% of life happens in that space.  Go there in your thoughts, meditations, become that and your experiences, relationship with self, everything, will quicken.  I know it as the Field.  There you will satisfy life's longing for friendship.

Yes, it is amazing that everything 'appears' to come from a stillness, a peaceful realm of energy only. Sounds like you're probably familiar with Lynne McTaggart's “The Field”. If not, it's an excellent read on the new physics and new biology and is very well referenced. I share your view that our longing for love and friendship is to be found in the field (God, Tao, etc.) - physicists understand the mystical parallels of QP, but unfortunately the scientific view (i.e. lacking the experiential components of meditation, devotion, etc.) is missing that it is an entity, a consciousness with which we can have a personal relationship.

I do have Lynne McTaggart's book but have not read it.  I don't remember where I received the term but it seemed to be a little more understandable to people when I speak about it.  I used to call it the web and had to back up and explain I was not talking about the internet; more like a spider web.  Tiny delicate threads of experience being weaved by everyday people.  How did I know the definition of everyday people would change so much since I first discovered the idea.  I often show the double slit experiment from “What the bleep”.  It seems to grab people.
